Mt Everest Base Camp
Hi,
Thanks for visiting the site. On the 18 February 2012 I will be doing a 16 day trek to Mt Everest Base Camp. This website has been created to share my experiences of the walk and importantly to raise sponsorship money towards what I believe is a good cause, making books available to young children. A recent report in the Guardian Newspaper in London stated that 30% of children in the UK have no books available to them at home. As a keen reader, I was surprised by this and thought it would be nice to do something towards making books accessible to young children.
I'll be posting pictures on the site and notes about my preparation for the walk, so for anyone visiting who is also planning on doing this trek there will be some tips for you as well. If you want to send any comments about the site to me, you can do this using the form below.
